The following deviating provisions apply: 

– Article 4 – Dissolution does not apply in any case and does not apply;
– Article 8 – paragraph 5: Payment is made prior to the rental period;
– Article 9 – paragraph 6: Rental items may not leave the province or go to Amsterdam;
– Article 14 – paragraphs 3 & 6: It is not permitted to carry out any repairs to the rented property without the landlord's permission;

The following deviating provisions apply to the rental of an (E-)scooter/moped and Speed-pedelec: 

• Article 4 – Termination shall in no event apply and shall not apply;
• Article 8 – paragraph 5: Payment must be made prior to the rental period;
• Article 9 – paragraph 2: It is not permitted to make any changes to the E-scooter/Speed-Pedelec or to the rental item.
• Article 9 – paragraph 4: Rental items may only be used in our region and not in the dune area.
  
  

Summary of the most important BOVAG conditions/additional conditions

Theft responsible for the current value of the bicycle and in the case of taken out insurance only for your own risk (conditions proper handling of the bicycle, handing over keys and reporting to the police). Own risk is max. € 150 per bicycle, € 300 per electric bicycle and € 500 per E-scooter / Speed-Pedelec, provided that the rental conditions have been observed (12.1).

If you do not want a deductible, you can take out the 'Cycling in Egmond Certainties' package

• – The tenant is liable for the rented property (for groups the main tenant);
  – Early return of the rented property does not entitle you to a refund;
  – The leased property may not leave the province and not move to Amsterdam;
  – Payment is made prior to the rental period;
  – The lessor reserves the right to confiscate the bicycle if these rental conditions are not followed, without the right to a refund of the rental amount;
  – The rented property must be returned to the branch where it was rented;
  – The landlord reserves the right to charge a deposit;
  – The renter is obliged to take good care of the bicycle/e-scooter/speed-pedelec:
  · The bicycle/e-scooter/speed pedelec must be locked;
  · The renter must handle the keys to the bicycle/e-scooter/speed-pedelec with care
  · The battery must be charged according to the relevant instructions;
  · The renter must secure luggage correctly;
  · The renter must ensure that the bicycle/e-scooter/speed pedelec is not used by anyone who is not able or authorized to do so;

  – E-scooters/mopeds can only be rented and driven by people over the age of 16 and:
  · The driver must show his moped or car/motorcycle license to the lessor;
  · The lessor will record the driver's license number with the rental number, which may only be driven by that authorized driver;
  · The driver must comply with legally applicable traffic rules and the applicable Bicycles in Egmond motorized two-wheeler rental terms and conditions;

  – The rented equipment may not be used outside the designated roads/paths. Rented items may therefore also NOT to come to the beach;

  • (Bicycles/E-scooters/Speed-Pedelecs are therefore also NOT allowed on the beach);
    – It is not permitted to make any changes to the bicycle/e-scooter/speed pedelec or to the rental item;
    – Attaching your own bicycle trailer to the rented bicycle or conversely attaching a rented bicycle trailer to your own bicycle is not permitted;
    – It is prohibited to carry people on the back of a luggage carrier (except in child seats rented from the lessor);
    – The tenant is obliged to report damage and/or loss to the landlord as quickly as possible;
    – It is not permitted to carry out any repairs to the rented property without the landlord's permission;
    – If an agreement is canceled by the tenant, the landlord can charge the following cancellation costs:
    · In case of cancellation up to the 30th day (exclusive) before the day of rental: the deposit with a maximum of 10% of the rental amount;

    · In case of cancellation from the 30th day (inclusive) to the 7th day (exclusive) before the day of rental: 30% of the rental price;
    · In case of cancellation from the 7th day (inclusive) to the 3rd day (exclusive) before the day of rental: 50% of the rental price;
    · In case of cancellation from the 3rd day (inclusive) to 1 day (exclusive) before the day of rental: 90% of the rental price;
    · In case of cancellation less than 1 day before the day of rental: the full rental amount
    
    

  All disputes arising from the rental agreements are exclusively governed by Dutch law. Furthermore, only the Dutch court has jurisdiction to hear these disputes.

  – No adults are allowed on the back of the bicycle. Only children in a child seat.
